I'm reviving the newsletter! + What's changing
Hi!
It’s been a while. How are you folks doing?
I had promised myself about 40 posts this year, and failed miserably. Life took over, and turns out my time management skills suck. To get myself out of this rut, I thought I’ll provide some structure to this newsletter to keep things interesting, and hopefully you like it!
Stuff that won’t change
I’ll keep publishing posts weekly.
Stuff that might change
I’ll continue publishing on Mondays at 10:00 a.m. IST for now, but based on your feedback I’ll revisit this.
Stuff that will change
The theme “Full Stack FIRE” means discussing all things FIRE - money, work and life. So to organise my writing into these buckets, I’m structuring my posts by week for every month:
Week 1 - Understanding Finance. Here I’ll write about everything money. Getting to FIRE is a complex journey, and understanding money and financial instruments is integral to getting there.
Week 2 - Understanding Work. I’m a software engineer by profession, so here I’ll write about how I am navigating my career to help me grow.
Week 3 - Understanding FIRE. FIRE is more than just money, so I’ll write about how to manage it well to actually fulfil life goals.
Week 4 - Understanding Me! What’s a FIRE newsletter without sharing some personal details on how I’m doing. I’ll share details on my journey and what is going on with my goals & portfolio.
Week 5 - Bonus week! I’ll share some interesting articles I read, reviews on books I’m reading and whatever else I fancy.
I’m thinking of keeping my next year’s theme to be “The Year of Accountability” - get better at being accountable to myself, and not give up on what I’ve started. I might most probably stumble over the year, but I will keep up this consistency as much as I can. If there’s a break, no worries - I will pick it right back up.
Until next time!
