When you've just become a parent is when it's the best time to quit. Managing work and childcare at the same time is inhumanly hard, so now's the best time to take a career break and focus on your child. Great move!

Very cool. Can I say how brave you are? Takes guts to prioritise things in life which are different from the herd.
I am FIRE myself, and while I don't have kids, I do look back and think I gave unnecessary priority and way too much of my mindspace to work. Glad to see that you have your priorities sorted, and at the right juncture in your life.
